Addiction seems to run in my family. I am the only child out of 7 brothers and sisters who has not fallen prey to addiction. I want to help my sibling overcome this but, I don't know how to get all of them into treatment for drug addiction. Is there a place I could send them that would give me a discount on treatment for drug addiction for sending multiple person at one time? I don't want to seem greedy but, I just want to get them some help.

Chemical dependence took my son away from our family when he was only 18 years old. We didn't know at the time that he was even using drugs. We were completely oblivious to the signs and knew nothing about addiction and how an addict would act when they were using. We thought our son was just frustrated with school and dealing with finals was hard on him. If we had known he was dealing with a chemical dependence maybe we could have saved his life. If we had only been aware of the signs of addiction we could have found drug treatment center and saved our son. Please get educated on drug treatment center it could be the best thing you ever do.

A drug habit kept me from living a happy life until I found help through alcoholism treatment. My life was changed one night when I overdosed and woke up in the hospital. The doctor told me if I used again I would probably die because my heart couldn't take it any more. I was scared at that point that I might die because I knew I couldn't stop on my own so I told my parents that I had a a drug habit and that I needed help to go into alcoholism treatment. They were surprised that their little girl could even have done such a thing but, they helped me and paid for treatment. It's been 3 years since I went through treatment and I'm happier than ever!

It took years for my mother to admit she had a substatnce dependency. Her addiction caused much pain and sorrow in our family and childhood was not very pleasant for me. As I got older and figured out that my mother was actually suffering from a substatnce dependency I decided to find help for her. After doing some research on outpatient addiction treatment I decided to have an intervention done on my mother. My mother went into outpatient addiction treatment two years ago and today she is the mother I always wanted her to be.

My sons father suffers from substance abuse and I don't want my son around him until he gets help through an alcohol detox center. I fear that he will abuse my child or even worse while he is high. Substance abuse I've heard makes people act violent, is this true? How can I make sure my ex gets help through an alcohol detox center and be sure he is actually cured from this horrible fate he has found himself in?
